徐蜜桃（以下简称桃）是一个八岁小女孩，自小在电视及家庭薰陶下，对性存在一定幻想。在学校，桃同学肥妹自认是性专家，桃遂与肥妹结成好友。一天晚上，桃的姐姐与男友外出，桃欲跟去，遭到姐姐拒绝。刚好肥妹来到，二人负气离家出走去拜神树，求神树实现二人梦想，长大成人。第二天早上，桃起床发觉自己已经变为成人，到学校发现，肥妹亦变为成人。桃找到姐姐，讲出变大真相。在姐姐公司的泳池内，桃遇见在自己小学教游泳的男子Danny，为躲避姐姐老板的骚扰跳入泳池。二人成为朋友，正要离开时，遇到Danny的前女友Baby， Baby要求复合。Danny拒之，Baby以为桃乃Danny新欢，作弄桃，不想促成Danny约桃参加party，桃应允。Baby因此怀恨在心。
在party上，Danny与众友大玩性游戏及讲性笑话，桃听不懂。Danny带桃在沙滩谈情，二人拥吻，但Danny对桃没有经验感到惊讶。桃跑回家向姐姐求助，正巧桃的学校老师因桃数日没上学前来家访，桃父见到老师，原来二人是旧情人。桃父以为家里没人，与桃的老师打得火热，桃终于学到Kiss。桃再与Danny沙见面，这次熟练地跟Danny打kiss，二人情浓时，Danny欲进一步，桃又受惊逃走。
桃姐姐的男友前来借钱，见到桃欲揩油，被姐姐痛打，但得知了桃的秘密。酒吧内，姐姐男友遇到Baby，二人一拍即合，于是布下“偷天换日”局令桃误以为Danny重投Baby怀抱。于是桃伤心地走向神树希望变回童年，免寻烦恼。Danny获知内情，急忙找至桃家，只见桃已变回小女孩，震惊与悔恨无法言表，失望离去。桃姐姐男友前来求姐姐原谅，并向桃讲出真相，桃才知误会了Danny，立刻去求神树，但神树已被锯掉，再也无法帮她实现愿望了。
十年后，Danny事业有成，却仍孑然一身，保留着桃送给他的生日礼物。又到他的生日，一少女前来见他，原来是长大后的桃，亭亭玉立。二人再回初识地——泳池，桃终于献上第一次给自己心爱的男人。
舒淇在片中扮演讲故事人的角色，于开头和结尾出现。
